Meyer defends title at German Open 2012

Hamburg's own Trevor Meyer defended his title at the 31st German Open 2012. He defeated German National Champion Martin Klippel in an high class final 15-13, 15-4 to win his 8th singles title at the German Open. In the ladies division, Yvonne Mesecke claimed her 9th singles title after not losing any game against her other four opponents. Club mate Lara Ludwig became second, after winning against Ireland's top player Donna Ryder with 6-15, 15-3, 11-0, followed by Cathryn Mahoney and Maria Rippstine (both USA).

In doubles, Meyer teamed up with Bernd Dröge (regular partner Joachim Loof was injured and could not compete in the tournament). Both defeated Torsten Krieger and Peter Rakowski in the final with 15-10, 15-10.
