Michiel v. d. Holst celebrates ‘comeback’ and wins Dutch Nationals

mvdholstMichiel van der Holst is the winner of the 2016 Dutch Nationals that were held this weekend in The Hague. He defeated Peter de Jong in the final to claim his 7th National singles title. Defending champion Pascal Matla was unable to attend this years event due to family committments. On the ladies side, another familiar name claimed another success: Daphne Wannee defeated Carola de Boer to achieve her (also) 7th National singles title. This years Dutch Nationals had seen some very familiar names from the great history of Dutch Racquetball: Besides van der Holst and Wannee, fromer National Champion Jeroen Vink and former National Team player Michel Veeken made an appearance this year.
